Legal
Privacy Policy.
Effective date: July 28, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Hydra-Tap ("Hydra-Tap," "we," "us") handles information in connection with the hydra-tap.com website (the "Site") and the FireWatch™ mobile application (the "App"). We build hardware and software for fire protection contractors — we are not in the business of collecting or selling personal information.
Information we collect on the Site
The Site is a static informational website. It does not require an account, does not set tracking cookies, and does not run third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
Contact form. The "Send a message" form on our Contact page submits your message directly to our customer service team. We use it only to respond to your inquiry.
Email and phone inquiries. If you contact us by email or phone, we receive the information you provide (such as your name, company, contact details, and the contents of your message). We use it to respond to your inquiry, provide support, and follow up on distributor or sales requests.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use these logs only for security and to keep the Site running.
Fonts. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, Google receives your IP address as part of the request. See Google's privacy policy for details on how Google handles that data.
Information we collect in the FireWatch App
FireWatch is a scheduling, reporting, and quoting tool for fire protection contractors. When the App is available and you use it, we collect information needed to provide the service:
Account information. Name, email address, company name, and login credentials.
Business and job data. Schedules, jobs, technicians, inspections, go-backs, quotes, customer and site information you enter, and test reports you generate.
Test readings. Pressure and temperature readings captured from Monsoon Bluetooth Transducers paired with your device. The App requests Bluetooth permission solely to connect to these devices.
Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, and crash or diagnostic data used to keep the App working.
Your business data in FireWatch belongs to you. We use it to provide the App's features — scheduling, report archiving, and quoting — and do not use it for advertising.
How we use information
To respond to inquiries and provide customer support
To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
To communicate with you about your account, orders, or service updates
To protect the security and integrity of our Site, App, and business
To comply with legal obligations
How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only:
With service providers that help us operate (such as hosting, cloud storage, and email providers), who may use it only to provide services to us; with distributors, at your request, to connect you with a point of sale; when required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property; and in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected information.
Data retention
We keep inquiry correspondence as long as needed to handle the matter and for reasonable business records. App account and business data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; we will delete it unless we are required to retain it by law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may contact us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor valid requests as required by the law that applies to you.
Children
Our Site and App are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
